I am a mum, wife and coach.
Sport has always been at the heart of my life. I grew up playing, working, and coaching various sports. I firmly believe that engaging in physical activity is essential for everyone, as it fosters both physical and mental well-being.
However, my journey hasn't been without challenges. Since my teenage years, I've faced a series of injuries and surgeries that created a relentless cycle of fitness, injury, rehabilitation, and setbacks. This experience has deeply impacted my self-image and mental health. I often found myself struggling to fit in, feeling lost while others seemed to navigate life effortlessly. The cycle of injury only intensified these feelings, leading to a complicated relationship with food and creating a façade of happiness that became exhausting to maintain.
Throughout my life, I have endured significant traumas, including the loss of loved ones and career transitions. During these times, I sometimes chose to ignore my struggles instead of confronting them. The anxiety surrounding holidays and how I would appear in a swimsuit became overwhelming, and I constantly worried about my role as a mother and wife.
Frequent hospital visits and physical limitations made it difficult for me to engage in life fully. After having my hip replaced at 36, I feared my active life was over. Learning to walk again was a daunting task, and I found myself relying on painkillers while struggling with weight gain and feelings of misery—all while pretending to be fine for everyone else.
In 2024, I made pivotal changes. I sold a business that had become a nightmare rather than a dream, reintroduced horses into my life, and established firm boundaries at work. I embraced my love for hockey, prioritized social connections, and rekindled my passion for training and coaching. With time, I found a way to manage my anxiety and keep unhealthy food habits in check 90% of the time. I may not be perfect, but I can confidently say that I am happy.
I share my story because I want to help those who have faced similar challenges. My diverse life experiences have equipped me with a wealth of knowledge. I have supported individuals from all walks of life, whether it's a stage 4 cancer survivor, a grandmother aiming to teach her granddaughter to ride a bike, or a teenager navigating life after a major illness.
Let’s work together to get you back on the path to the life you desire.
